Lydia FitzGerald

Lydia FitzGerald lydia@charmedplaces.com

Having worked in the events industry for several years, Lydia has grown and refined her planning skills through hands on experience. Whether it be as a Director of Events for the high end, boutique planning company New York Caterers & Planners, an Event Planner for Dean & Deluca or an Independent Event Consultant for Aviator,  a state of the art 170,000 sq. ft. sports and recreational facility in Brooklyn, Lydia's commitment to her clients, always shines through with her meticulous approach to planning and her ability to see the big picture.  Passionate about cultivating ideas and goals from the stages of concept to reality is what keeps Lydia enthusiastic about the ever evolving world of event planning.

As a personal passion Lydia believes in the benefits of whole foods and community supported agriculture, incorporating these beliefs into her work. She has attended and worked with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City to further her education in these areas.

Lydia is thrilled to be able to put her experience and passions to good use as the owner of Charmed Places!

No stranger to the Hudson Valley Lydia spent every summer of her youth in the Catskill mountains with her family, several of them as a camper and camp counselor enjoying overnights at Devil's Kitchen and other camping spots, canoe trips down the Delaware and of course tubing on the Esopus River.

After 15 years based in New York City, Lydia has made the move upstate and is now, happily, based full-time in New Paltz.

Greetings!

I am pleased to announce the new owner of Charmed Places, Lydia FitzGerald.  When I learned that Lydia, whom I knew through the industry, was making the big move from Manhattan to the Hudson Valley, I jumped at the opportunity to offer Charmed Places to her. I knew with Lydia, that Charmed Places would be in experienced, knowledgeable, capable and creative hands. It is also important to me that she is able to connect with city clients, having spent the last 15 years of her life in Manhattan. She is simply perfect for it!

Having spent the past six-years with Charmed Places, I have developed so many wonderful relationships with all of you that I am and will be eternally grateful for. I have had THE MOST fun!  Professionally, I gained a ton more experience.  I got to know every nook and cranny of the Hudson Valley more intimately than I could have ever imagined and now I can truly enjoy all of it’s splendor with my family . . . The business, ultimately led me to my husband, which eventually led to baby and so now I have made the decision to focus on and put all of my passion toward my family.

Thank you dearly for your support and comradeship throughout the years.  I just know that you will appreciate and enjoy continuing to service weddings and events with Lydia and that Lydia will enjoy working with all of you, as much as I have.

With gratitude and best wishes,

Tammy Baldwin
